Cow Dung Manure

Cow dung powder is dried and powdered cow manure.

 Description and Benefits: Cow dung is a fundamental organic manure that improves soil structure, aeration, and water holding capacity. It provides a balanced supply of macro and micronutrients and enhances the activity of beneficial soil microorganisms.

 Guaranteed Nutrient Content (as per FCO): The nutrient content can vary, but generally, it contains 0.5-1.5% Nitrogen (N), 0.4-0.8% Phosphorus (P2O5), and 0.5-1.0% Potassium (K2O).

 Application and Dosage: The dosage can vary widely based on the crop and its specific needs. As a general basal dose, 800-1000 kg per acre is often recommended. It can be applied as a base fertilizer before planting or as a top dressing.

 Recommended Crops: Cow dung powder is a universal fertilizer suitable for all crops.

 Storage and Handling: Store in a cool, dry place. For optimal microbial activity, it is often mixed with other materials like jaggery and pulse flour to create preparations like "Ghanjeevamrit," which can be stored for up to six months.
